Quality Assurance Officer - Women's University in Africa Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions that have arisen at the Women’s University in Africa in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences: QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with the implementation of the University’s quality assurance policies, plans and the Transformational Strategy 2016-2020 as well as successor strategies; Assist with the monitoring and evaluation of quality assurance benchmarks in key areas such as academic teaching and learning, administration and support services and the provision of research, innovation and learning facilities; Assist with the coordination of quality assurance circles in non-teaching departments and units and faculties; Provide secretariat services to the University Quality Assurance Committee; Assist with the mobilisation of financial resources for quality assurance activities including research, publications and dissemination; Assist in preparing for the accreditation and external assessments of academic programmes; and Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS A Master of Science Degree in a social science or related discipline. Experienced in: Assisting implementation of higher education institutional policies, plans and strategies; Providing secretariat services to higher education institutional committees; Assisting the coordination of Faculty and non-teaching departments and units; Assisting the accreditation and external assessment of academic programmes; Assisting in monitoring and evaluation of benchmarks in key areas such as academic teaching and learning, administration and support services and the provision of research and learning facilities; Knowledge and skills: Good IT skills, oral communication and report writing; Ability to plan and deliver multiple activities and meet deadlines; Ability to work as part of a team of higher education teaching and non-teaching staff in multiple locations.
