MANAGER, LEGAL PARTNERSHIPS AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
POST 1: MANAGER, LEGAL PARTNERSHIPS AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS [3 YEARS CONTRACT RENEWABLE SUBJECT TO SATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE] (1 POST) The incumbent will report to the Vice Chancellor
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing legal services to the various Units of the University;
Identifying and resolving legal issues affecting the University;
Drafting and negotiating various contracts with service providers;
Liaising with external lawyers on behalf of the University;
Dealing with public liability and prosecution;
Attending to court matters pertaining to the University;
Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements governing the operations of the University;
Managing MOUs and MOAs of the University with other institutions and or organisations;
Managing collaboration programmes for staff and students with other local or international institutions; and
Undertaking any other duties as delegated by the Vice Chancellor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Must be a registered legal practitioner;
Bachelor of Law Degree;
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Master of Law will be an added advantage;
Membership to a professional board is a pre-requisite.
