Our client with mining operations in Zimbabwe, is looking for a seasoned mining engineer with technical and operational experience in both open pit and underground mining. The role will be head office based (In Harare) with regular travel to the mines. The position will be required to give operational support to mine sites and projects regarding mine production and planning, design, and identify continual improvement projects and conduct technical improvement interventions.
Responsibilities
- Mine planning: Short- to long-term
- Establish group mining and technical standards and operating procedures
- Efficiency improvement projects
- Contractor tender evaluation
- Mine to mill optimization
- Compiling mining budget and financial modelling
- Technical services management
- Resource and reserve reporting
Requirements
BEng Mining Engineering from a recognized University
MEng and/or MBA
Mine Managers’ Certificate of competency
15 – 20 years’ experience
International or Regional Education and/or experience would be an immense advantage
Skills
- Production Management

- Software: Surpac, Whittle and Minesched
