Our client in Harare is looking for an analytical and well-spoken Bedding Product Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the Furniture and Appliance Retail Industry. The Bedding Product Manager is responsible for meeting, sustaining and surpassing the company's annual sales growth targets for its Bedding Products.


Responsibilities

  • Use demand planning tools to monitor stock by product by branch and recommend optimum stocking levels.
  • Analyse designated stock turns by product by branch and recommend strategies to improve stock turns.
  • Track and ageing of the stock and suggest interventions to lower stock obsolescence in collaboration with the Merchandising Manager.
  • Work with Procurement to optimize inbound logistics for the product, by branch.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to deduce accurate forecasts by product, by branch.
  • Analyse sales performance trends by product, by branch on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis and develop strategies to grow sales in consultation with Operations Managers.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager to establish assigned category based Shoken and planograms by product by branch.
  • Conduct routine physical store inspections to ensure adherence to established Shoken, Planogram and Merchandising requirements and advise the appropriate Operations Manager to address any variances.
  • Obtain market intelligence about the product market share and propose strategies to increase the market share.
  • Perform routine market research on competitor pricing by region, by key location and recommend pricing strategies to stay ahead of competition.
  • Conduct market research on consumer preferences, and then recommend strategies to boost product uptake by region and key location.
  • Work with the BDE and ExCom to develop new products tailored to meet customer lifestyles and enhance those already in the market.
  • Leverage product knowledge on features and benefits to train store sales staff in collaboration with the Training Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Sales or related fields.
  • At least 5 years proven sales experience related to a brand of products or cluster of specialized products in bedding goods retail.
  • Experience in supply chain management is a distinct advantage
