This exciting opportunity is ideal for professionals with a background in selling mechanical equipment, specifically pumps, piping, valves, and similar mechanical ancillaries.
Position Overview: Business Development Executive
Petropipe FZE is expanding its supply chain in the SADC region and is looking for a dynamic Business Development Executive. The role involves a hybrid work arrangement, with the executive based in Harare and flexibility for remote work. The key responsibilities include New Business Development, Lead Generation, Business and Account Management, and Communication.
Identifying Target Customers
The Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in identifying and targeting potential customers in the SADC region who require Petropipe’s product range for specific applications.
Building Strong Customer Relationships
Develop and maintain robust relationships with new and existing customers, serving as their primary contact and trusted advisor.
Conduct in-depth technical discussions with customers to understand their requirements and propose suitable product solutions. Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to provide detailed product information.
Sales Presentations and Contract Negotiation
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations. Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring favorable terms for both parties while maximizing revenue.
Market Monitoring and Reporting
Monitor market trends and competitor activities. Provide regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market insights to the sales management team.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement targeted sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and lead-generation activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
- Proven track record of 3-5 years of successful sales experience in the region, specifically in selling pumps, piping, valves, and similar mechanical ancillaries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
- Mandatory to be a local candidate based in Zimbabwe.
