In this role you’ll be working closely alongside the Breast Cancer Haven Fundraising Team at our Leeds centre, researching and applying to Charitable Trusts and Foundations. With your support, we can increase our fundraising activity and create partnerships with more Trusts and Foundations. With support from the Trusts and Grants Officer we will ask you to: - Research and explore Trusts and Foundations using the internet, funding websites, the charity commission and so on. - Work through a pipeline of prospects to approach by writing grant applications and letters - Update our database with Trusts information when required - General administration duties related to Trust fundraising, including data entry, photocopying, scanning and so on - Following guidance on Health and Safety, Confidentiality, and Data Protection This role is for anybody who has: - A genuine interest in the charitable sector and the work of Breast Cancer Haven - Good team work skills, enthusiasm and flexibility - Reliability and an honest approach - A good level of IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft word and excel - Good written and verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable Trusts and Foundations fundraising experience in a busy Fundraising environment. You will learn a lot about the day to day working of a Fundraising Team and our organisation. This role would suit a person looking for experience in a office or charity fundraising environment. The role will be based at the Leeds Breast Cancer Haven office.
