UNDERGROUND SECTION ENGINEER

who will be reporting to the UNDERGROUND MANAGER?

Accountabilities of the role

• Ensuring adherence to statutory regulations
• Planning and ensuring that Preventative Maintenance is carried out.
• Attending to engineering problems and engaging subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders when necessary.
• Ensuring that equipment performs consistently in specified operating environments.
• Managing projects
• Handling disciplinary cases and attending to grievances of workers in the section.
• Achieving machine availability targets.
• Preparing training programs for trainees and training subordinates.
• Drafting the budget
• Enforcing compliance with statutory regulations
• Promoting safe working practices
• Any other duties in line with the Section Engineer’s position

•  Job Application Details Qualifications and experience Degree in Mechanical engineering Membership to Engineering Professional body Valid First aid certificate Computer literacy (MS Office, MS Project and application Packages like SAP) is essential amongst others.
