We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Systems Engineer to join our client's team.

Responsibilities:

Design, optimise and administer the lifecycle of all VM, Firewall, SAN and system elements.

Monitor all system alerts, triggers and abnormalities 

Collect relevant metrics from all systems and platforms for analysis by Team lead IS Operations, Sys Admin, Datacenters

Deploy system updates and patches 

Proactively monitor network security platforms. Firewalls, Proxies, Web Application Firewalls etc.

Proactively monitor VM Platform elements. Hypervisor, Storage & Switching.

Implement subscriber bandwidth management policies where required.

Implement pilot testing for all new technologies and services as recommended by Team Lead IS Operations, Sys Admin, and Datacentres.

Provide forecasting data to Team Lead IS Operations, Sys Admin, and Datacenter's product life cycle.

Assisting sales/marketing where requested with technical support for customer liaison/special events – e.g Facebook Live.

Handling of System/Network/Voice escalations from SOC/NOC/CSR

VM Platform hardware and software upgrades

Systems and platforms Backups and testing

Key Skills:

2 years of experience in Systems administration with daily experience with Linux/Python/Bash/Puppet|Ansible as well as Windows Server/Powershell, VMWare Powercli

Proficiency in Linux & Windows Systems Administration

Solid understanding of network monitoring systems

Good understanding of Project Management

Good understanding of Network Management Systems

Proficiency with configuration Automation

In-depth understanding of Email and DNS 

Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Telecommunications / Equivalent

RHCSA/RHCE/RHCA/LPI1-3

Fortinet/Sophos Architect 

MCSE or Equivalent
