About
Africaid is a community organisation which through its Zvandiri programme, integrates community prevention, treatment, care and support for children, adolescents and young people living with HIV. Works with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) and National AIDS Council in implementing these interventions with funding from USAID, Zim-TTECH, UNICEF, ELMA, READY+, Maruva Trust and ZACH.
Position summary

Job description
The Regional Coordinator will be working under the direct supervision of the Head Of Programs responsible for for defining, planning, tracking, managing and leading the work of the Zvandiri Mentors (ZM), coordinating scale up of Africaid’s Zvandiri model and Community Adolescent Treatment Supporters (CATS) and also ensuring quality at all levels of programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation, finance and reporting. This role will include amongst other things, overseeing all activities in the provinces in accordance with the approved project work plans as well as management of project deliverables in line with the project plan.
Qualifications
The Regional Coordinator must have: A Nursing qualification or MPH a prerequisite; master’s degree in social work; social sciences related field is ideal; at least minimum five years experience in community development and / or mobilisation; experience working with children and adolescents; essential comprehensive understanding of the Africaid Zvandiri model desirable; technical working knowledge of HIV across the entire cascade preferable; knowledge of and familiarity with the Ministry Of Health and Child Care structures; strong report writing and computer skills; strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills; verbal written; listening; presentation and facilitation; demonstrated experience in adolescent HIV/ART programming; including community; peer-led interventions written and spoken English; knowledge of Shona and Ndebele essential.
