Established in 1987, Population Services Zimbabwe (PSZ) is an affiliate of MSI Reproductive Choices, and is one of the largest specialised Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) organisations in Zimbabwe. PSZ complements the Ministry of Health and Child Care in the provision of quality, and affordable general health and SRH services in all provinces of Zimbabwe. In line with its expansion strategy, PSZ seeks to expand its talent pool to include the following
The role
Responsible for overall programme planning, implementation, coordination, management and reporting. Accountable for programme cycle management, grant management and budget tracking. Serve as primary donor contact person for the organization.
Key responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties: Coordinating effective and efficient overall implementation of the programme in line with Donor Agreements; Coordinate programme and organizational compliance to donor regulations as committed and specified in the project document, general agreements and special agreements; Provide guidance on programme implementation and performance vis-à-vis donor targets, and outline donor expectations on procurement and marketing; Provide project performance updates to Programs Director, Country Director, Donor, regional team and senior management team members; Monitoring of expenditures against budgets to avoid overruns; Safeguarding accurate coding of expenses in line with donor budget; Develop programme reports to a high level of professionalism; Participate in the development of accurate financial reports.
Qualification
To succeed in this role, you must have: Masters in Development Studies / Management or a related Social science field; Degree in Social Sciences / Humanities; Post graduate studies in Project Management; Post graduate studies in Monitoring and Evaluation; Short courses (in-class or online) in public health focusing on SRHR; Finance for Non-finance practitioners; At least 2 years’ experience with projects management, budget tracking, grand management and project monitoring and evaluation; Experience working in the NGO sector.
