Job Purpose

 To oversee and direct production operations and ensure high quality and profitability of products.

Main Duties

 Plans, organizes, directs and run optimum day-to-day plant operations.

 Increases production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining high quality standards

 Manages production output, product quality to ensure on-time supply of goods to the market

 Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results

 Establishes and reviews workflow and assembly methods to maximize efficiency of production operations

 Devises technical solutions to address bottlenecks, inefficiencies or deviations in production processes

 Leads troubleshooting of major defects, faults, and breakdowns in equipment and system parts

 Advises on industry best practices and environmental standards in line with relevant legislation

 Develops policies, systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets

 Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts

 Develops processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity 

Qualifications

A degree in Engineering or related field

 A Post graduate qualification (e.g. MBA /MSC)

 A minimum of 5 years’ related working experience in production

 Mature.
