The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer as this position is very strategic with plant output efficiency working with the Factory Manager.

This role is also key for the success of the factory and production output of daily food products.

Our client seeks a seasoned and experienced Mechanical Engineer for their 24/7 manufacturing plant across the FMCG Sector.

You must be a mechanical engineer with the ability to lead a strong artisan and technical team for the plant operation.

This role requires a hands-on person capable of ensuring the operation runs smoothly 24/7.

Ideally you should have experience across the manufacturing sector.

Managing of projects and maintenance activities to continuously improve factory efficiencies and continuously eliminate all forms of waste.

Involved in carrying out research on new technologies and systems to develop cost effective improvements to operating methods and procedures for all machinery.

You must provide leadership, technical knowledge and maintenance experience towards achieving optimum plant reliability, performance, maintenance costs and efficiencies as well as performing the management function in all maintenance activities.

Implement various continuous improvement projects which may affect the plant and asset reliability and maintenance costs.

You are expected to champion SHEQ activities in the maintenance department and plant operations.

The overall plant efficiency shall be in your control!
