Operations Manager: Consumer Payroll Deducted Lending

Applications are invited from knowledgeable, experienced, and skilled candidates to fill the position of Operations Manager-Consumer Payroll Lending

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Consumer Payroll Lending. The successful candidate will oversee the Sales infrastructure and teams for the consumer lending business for Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee assessment of credit applications and underwriting process within Consumer Payroll lending business.

Oversee management and performance of the Consumer Payroll loan Book.

Oversee disbursement of loans

Manage processing Turn around Time and ensure high standards of customer service are maintained.

Manage Collections and recoveries for the loan book (Arrears Management)

Carefully manage loan book performance within pre-stated KPI's

Manage loan book performance- payroll collections, external solicitors, insurance, restructuring and write-offs.

Provide ongoing training to the operations team including KYC and AML training

Ensure compliance with the lending policy of the bank.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Provide all required periodic reports

Reconciliations – Settlements, Disbursal, Collections and GL accounts

Budgeting and Cost management

Risk Management

Audit and audit items management

Ensure Business Continuity

Implement cost management and profitability measures

Manage the back-office, submission and collection sub-departmental areas

Personal Competencies

· In-depth knowledge of payroll deduction and consumer lending

· Zimbabwean Resident

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Finance, Banking, or related area

Masters or professional qualification is an added advantage.

At least five years’ experience in the Retail Banking environment and knowledge of Retail loans and Microlending operations

A minimum of 5 years of senior management positions
