Duties And Responsibilities
Responsibilities Oversee all EXTRA Project monitoring and evaluation policies and strategies; Monitor progress and effects of the EXTRA Project against strategic areas; Facilitate monitoring of cross cutting issues by all stakeholders; Assist programme/project staff to collect M&E data to required standard; Ensure quality and accountability of monitoring within the programme; Information Management for project progress and presentation at monthly meetings; Compilation of quarterly progress reports and sharing with stakeholders; Close liaison with LFSP Management Organisations (FAO and Palladium) to ensure EXTRA M&E contributes adequately to overall LFSP M&E; Identify and formulate monitoring and evaluation findings, lessons learned and recommendations to be integrated into programme efforts, disseminated in learning events and channelled into decision-making processes.
Qualifications And Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required A university degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics and Research or any related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage; Five years relevant work experience in an International NGO and two years’ experience in leading people; Understanding of the interface between donor and government stakeholders; Experience in design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems including both qualitative and quantitative approaches; In-depth working knowledge of computer based statistical packages such as SPSS, AkvoFlow, Excel and information dissemination software; Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
