Kingswood Agro is looking for a Junior Farm Manager
Kingswood Agro is a start up Agriculture business with its farm located in Darwendale. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified person to occupy the position of Junior Farm Manager or Supervisor.
Atleast a certificate in agriculture from recognized institutions. Both male and female applicants are welcome.
Experience is advantageous but not NECESSARY. Applicant must be an enthusiastic self starter who is willing to get their hands dirty.
Theoretical knowledge on our projects is a must (livestock, maize, sugar bean, tobacco, wheat, stockfeed)
Experience working on a developing farm advantage.
Drivers License
Physically fit
Computer literacy for reporting, budgets etc.
Responsibilities : supervising and organizing crew, ensuring that farm is compliant to all regulations concerned eg Labor fair practice, wages, chemical use, environment, etc. Planning and execution of operations eg land preparation, planting, harvest, packaging and delivery. Receiving and despatching of inputs, outputs, livestock. Preparing project proposals, budgets for upcoming season. Cost tracking and cost control. Everything and everything to do with farm, it's operations, all stakeholders including clients etc
