Position Overview Reporting to the Head of ICT the graduate trainee is responsible for design, development, testing and maintenance of new as well as existing products, applications and systems. 1.2 Responsibilities Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications Writing and implementing efficient code Working closely with other developers, business and systems analysts. Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status. Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities. Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. 1.3 Qualifications A degree in Computer Science or Information Systems from a recognised institution, passed with degree class 2.1 or better. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, PHP and Python. Any certificates in IT programing and coding is an added advantage.
