Type of Contract- full time

 Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the above mentioned post. We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Officer to assist in our financial department. The responsibilities of a Finance Officer include keeping financial records up-to-date, checking for inaccuracies in invoices, and handling queries on general accounts

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include the following:-

1.      Strategic contribution –planning and implementation

2.      Financial management and control system- development and implementation of accounting standards, policies and procedures

3.      Financial reporting to provide accurate financial information for decision making in accordance with Public Accounts and Auditors Board (PAAB) requirements.

4.      Financial Audits- liaises with both internal and external auditors and ensure implementation of corrective action that arises from the audits.

5.      Overseeing internal controls and setting financial targets

6.      Engaging with investors and developing financial strategies

7.      Formulating budgets, monitoring company expenditure and preparing monthly and quarterly reports

8.      Cash flow management

9.      Treasury management

10.  Credit control oversight

11.  Oversight of the Information Communication Technology Unit (ICT)

12.  Development of the ICT strategy for the organisation

 

Qualifications and Experience 

Minimum Job and Person specification

·        Degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting or equivalent

·        A professional qualification e.g., ACCA/CIMA/CISN etc is a must

·        Registration with the Public Accountants and Auditors Board is an exceptional advantage.

·        Membership of a relevant professional board is a must

·        Post graduate qualification in business administration or equivalent is an added advantage

·        Minimum of three years in a similar or senior position
