Description :
Efoods Zimbabwe
Do you have experience in the field of electro-mechanical maintenance? With a good understanding of how to properly maintain vehicles, heating, mixing, filling and sealing equipment, plumbing and buildings, and the capacity to quickly learn and understand new things?
Do you have an eye for efficiency with the ability to see the practical, and change or tweek production processes to get the best out of equipment?
Are you able to train and lead a team of machine operators in the proper use and maintenance of food factory equipment?
Then perhaps you are the future Facility Maintenance Supervisor (FMS) for Efoods Zimbabwe, joining an energetic, business-minded team.
Reporting to the General Manager the FMS will oversee and be responsible for the correct setting and running of factory equipment, minor repairs to, and maintenance of, all equipment, electrics, machinery, vehicles, plumbing and buildings, as well as the procurement and supervision of out- sourced services. Through hands-on application as well as delegation to maintenance staff the FMS will ensure the smooth running of the food factory and vehicle fleet, which should lead to increased production output and reduced down-time and maintenance costs.
What do you need to bring to the table?
A passion and a purpose are key. We like to work with people that love their work and do it well! You should be an action-oriented, practical person, ready to take charge of a situation and deliver the results required within a set time frame.
Good communications skills will be essential in this role, as it requires someone who can effectively communicate with management, service providers and staff, delegate to subordinates and train machine operators.
Prior experience in the field of electro-mechanical maintenance within a Food Manufacturing Facility would be a great advantage, but other industry experience will be considered.
Though a degree in Electro-mechanical engineering would be a plus, it is not a specific necessity, and diplomas, certificates and “qualification by experience” will all be considered.
