The opportunity
PPM Lead role is responsible for leading the team of project managers, project support specialists and business analysts to deliver IT projects across Enterprise Technology (e.g. deployment of new products, office moves, network and infrastructure projects, etc.) by using a range of project tools and techniques. This role is also responsible for implementation of the EY project management framework and ensuring compliance to the same. In this capacity, the lead will need to engage with senior customer stakeholders and collaborate in defining opportunities to continually improve, transform and deliver exceptional value from the service towards business and customer outcomes. The PPM Practice Lead is also expected to lead and partner with other technology functional units and also concurrently manage project leaders and team members who are directly responsible for program and project planning and successful execution.
The primary objective is to guide and mentor the team to ensure successful delivery of projects on schedule and within budget and quality to meet the organizational goals. The selected candidate will:
Responsible for the delivery of all the approved IT programs and projects on time, within budget, meeting client/business requirements and in compliance with all relevant standards
Leads project teams consisting of cross-functional, global and virtual groups and directly supervises staff, ensuring the appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools and responsibilities are in place to deliver the program and deliver excellence
Contributes in delivering a scalable transition process to support the deployment of services into production
Builds successful partnership, persuades and influences internal and external stakeholders across diverse disciplines to promote engagement with the program and get stakeholder buy-in
Proactively identifies risks and issues on programs and leads the team to develop risk management and issues management plans
Your Key Responsibilities
Within large projects, defines and maintains realistic project plans, monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria and ensures programs of work are correctly allocated and resourced
Ensure adherence to the relevant program management processes - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management
If required for critical and high-visibility programs, would take the responsibility to present plans, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within EY
Works with project managers to provide support and guidance for the individual projects within a program of work and manage people / teams .
Actively contributes to the development and improvement of project governance framework for use across programs of work
Builds long-term relationships with internal and external IT and business leaders, ensuring engagement and formal agreement from a diverse range of stakeholders throughout
Using data and analytics tools to forecast customer and support impact for new projects and programs
Effective management of project resources against time, cost and materials
Design, Implement and guide project and support teams towards efficient and effective support models which maximize customer satisfaction, leveraging industry best practices such as PMI, ITIL and Agile methodologies
Track and report overall performance and related metrics to senior management
The position is responsible for providing strategic and operational advice and a coordinated approach to the management of ET Project Portfolio and the associated Project Management Methodologies
Identify areas of opportunities, undertake continual development and review of the Project Management Methodology as required
Develop and implement Project Management education and training based on opportunities and gap assessments
Responsible for achieving organizational budgetary goals through effective utilization of resources and efficiency methods that are identified as a part of continual improvements
Manage stakeholder client and business owner involvement in the project’s delivery, ensuring appropriate change management and communication planning
Effective communication with a variety of audiences at senior levels
Ability to manage risks to delivery unit and escalations pertaining to client and business specific impacts to the identified goals
Responsible for operational readiness to support new products and services as per technology and strategic roadmap
Responsible for delegation and segregation of duties as required with reporting delivery leaders and ensure implementation of the same
Responsible for driving organizational wide employee initiatives, benefits, learning and compliance metrics as per schedule and senior management directives
Skills And Attributes For Success
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written) with the ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences
Strong decision-making skills (quick and efficient decisions)
Demonstrated competency in developing and managing complex project plans, timelines, budgets, and critical paths
Thorough knowledge and related work experience of the project management process, theory and lifecycle, including Waterfall and Agile methodology, as well as Project Delivery Framework
Detail-oriented with proven ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and oversee multiple projects, manage schedules, resource allocation/planning and maximize work efforts across all teams
Possess excellent prioritization, resource planning and management skills as well as proven ability in the identification, assessment and contingency planning and managing for risk factors
Proven competency to effectively interact at all levels across the organization, working to build and maintain successful relationships across all departments
Proven competency in business analysis, requirements definition, and business case production
Skilled at creating and delivering executive level presentations
Proven consultative, conflict resolution, negotiation and facilitation skills to gain consensus and ensure delivery of initiatives
Possess a strong working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and SIAM methodologies
Demonstrated flexibility and be able to work in a time-sensitive environment and meet strict deadlines with sudden and unpredictable changes that may occur
Ability to improve current processes and procedures; present opportunities for change and help implement them for the benefit of the organization
Possess a thorough understanding of information technology and its application to business issues; understands the use of information technology in a strategic context; is conversant with current technologies and trends relevant to the organizational goals
Self-starter with a strong work ethic, who sets high standards for self and others and demonstrates enthusiasm
Ability to lead virtual teams spread across EY and vendors
To qualify for the role, you must have
Education:
College degree in computer science / related disciplines or equivalent work experience in IT Industry
Experience:
15+ years’ experience in portfolio, program and/or project management with a successful project management track record in full life cycle information technology implementation projects, with proven record of execution to time and budget. Knowledge and understanding of standard project management tools (for example, Microsoft Project, PPM, etc.)

PMP / PRINCE 2
ITIL v2 or v3 Foundations training and higher levels of ITIL Certification
Agile Certifications (Any)
