Qualifications And Experience
The ideal person should possess the following Degree in a relevant discipline essential; postgraduate qualifications in development studies, public health or social sciences preferred; Minimum five years overseas experience implementing development or emergency programmes within a developing country context; Previous experience managing ECHO/EU projects and a thorough knowledge of ECHO/EU reporting requirements and expectations in terms of quality, timeliness, and content; Budgetary control and financial management skills; Experience in liaising with donors, government authorities and partner organisations; Proven experience in new business development, institutional fundraising, coordination of assessments, proposal and report writing; A willingness to accept basic living conditions; Strong communication, planning and organisational skills; Proven experience of managing a high workload and multiple priorities; Excellent spoken and written English language skills; A willingness to regularly travel to programme sites; To be familiar with and abide by the NGO Red Cross Code of Conduct, the CHS Alliance and Sphere Minimum Standards
