As a Director, you will focus on developing deep relationships and understanding of our clients, their challenges and strategic objectives, and how we can marshal the capabilities, experience and expertise of PwC to address those needs. This role requires not only developing deep relationships with client decision makers and execution teams, but also understanding the range of capabilities, solutions and skills that PwC can bring to bear. You will work as part of a team focussed on the BC Public Sector, and as part of the broader G&PS national team with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.
This position is a hands-on consulting role combining sales and delivery responsibilities in a complex and integrated environment. We seek a strong consulting resource with deep public sector expertise and experience in business development, business case, and different types of consulting and/or transformation programs.
We are looking for a senior individual, to be based in Victoria, who is ready for a challenge and wants to collaborate with diverse teams, inspire others, and ensure our firm operates with quality and integrity in serving our public sector clients.

What you’ll create and do
Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities
Continuously upskilling yourself and our teams on emerging trends for our clients, relevant case studies for clients and new skills and technologies
Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria
Proactively provide leadership within the go to market team and solution teams through bringing deep client and industry knowledge to setting strategy, driving the development of new business in the market, and providing client/account specific advice, support and leadership across opportunities and engagements
Building strong networks within the firm to work effectively across the various competencies and practices to bring the right people and capabilities to clients to address their most pressing and strategic priorities
Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching
Business Development and Client Relationship Management
Build trusted executive relationships and nurture business opportunities from these relationships
Stay abreast of key industry developments both within Canada and globally
Lead pursuit teams and proposal development including innovative approaches and methodologies tailored to address specific client requirements
A track record of managing the sales cycle and leading a team through business development activities
Engagement Delivery and Management
Manage the end to end delivery (including project economics) of consulting projects comprising multiple resources and teams Ensure the quality of deliverables and that clients are satisfied with the work
Critique client’s strategies and offer thought leadership and introduction of subject matter experts
Understand the operational implications of client’s strategies
Manage an engagement team to the production of quality deliverables on time and on budget and in line with client expectations and internal standards
People Development
Coach and oversee the development of goals, objectives and focus areas for other staff
Support team activities to foster an environment of collaboration and success
Connect across the PwC global network to share experiences and apply global ideas to our Canadian client base
What you’ll bring to this role
An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
Proven success in building trusted client and industry relationships
Experience in a leading management consulting firm or senior client/industry role in public sector developing and delivering transformational programs and , demonstrating knowledge of strategy, operations and technology used by Public Sector clients to serve their stakeholders
Experience working in or managing projects in one or more of the following areas would be an asset: Strategy, Service Delivery Transformation, Transformation enabled by technology, Citizen Service Modernization, Operational Excellence, Performance Improvement
Proven track record of managing and delivering significant business results that reflects strategic and creative thinking, individual initiative and motivating teams
Demonstrated capability in thought leadership, new business development and securing project extensions, including client lead maturation, proposal development, and closing new business opportunities
Proven leader with extensive abilities to build solid and collaborative relationships with team members, foster a productive teamwork environment, lead teams to generate a vision, leverage diverse views, and help develop and grow team members throughout the course of every engagement
A completed Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business/ Public Administration/ Engineering is considered an asset
The successful candidates might be required to travel (20%-30%) as and when required, and consistent with any public health directives or guidance that may be in place
