BUILDING INSPECTORS x 2

Reporting to the Building Inspectorate & Maintenance Superintendent,

the incumbent will perform the following duties

Building and development maintenance control through stage inspection of all building construction in the council.

Approval of building and development plans.

Enforcing compliance to standard Model building by-laws of all developments under construction

Regularization of buildings, uses or operations Issuing of Enforcement and Prohibition orders or any other relevant penalties Maintain development plans register and copies of the plans.

Carry out site tests on all construction materials.

Performing any other duties assigned to by the Section Head.

Work/Educational Requirements

• Minimum of a Higher National Diploma in Building/ Construction Technology or Civil Engineering Minimum of five (5) years working experience, preferably in Local authorities

A clean class four (4) driver's license will be an added advantage.
