The purpose of the Boilermaker is to secure plant availability through preventative maintenance achieving production

targets. Maintain plant equipment and complying with company policy and standards.

Functional Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Todal Health and Safety responsibilities.

Identify hazards and risk while performing daily tasks and maintenance and take preventative measures

Comply with legislative and operational requirements

Adhere to the company's environmental management program

Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements, standards and specifications

Perform daily inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act Regulations, operational and company standards to report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor

Develop, modify, construct and install all types of trade related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment

Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion

Continuously monitor equipment failure and efficiency to improve trade specific equipment and systems

Consult with production teams on maintenance activities that effects production

Supports the achievement of engineering availability and production performance levels

Ensure that maintenance related information is recorded and reported to the relevant planning office to support the maintenance of the planned/asset maintenance system

Read drawings and specification to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.

Identify all tools required for daily tasks.

Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.

Ensure adherence to engineering quality standards in maintenance of equipment and machinery

Monitor and assign work to allocated assistants according to instruction when required Coach and assist with on the job training assistants and learner ships e.g. safety, technical training

Stakeholder Management

Communicate with supervisors and process/engineering co-workers to inform on work in progress and condition of machinery/equipment

Monitor adherence by contractors to agreed scope of work according to service level agreements

Liaising and working with the stores and others departments as team.

Qualifications & Experience

5 years’ experience as a Boilermaker in a processing plant environment is required.

English Language Proficiency

Time management skills

Vibrating screen assembly, Huckbolting

Qualified as Boilermaker from recognized institution

Valid driver’s license

Use of testing equipment to diagnose equipment breakdowns.

Able to work in multi-cultural environment
