DanChurchAid (DCA) is a Danish faith-based civil society organization. It was founded in 1922 by representatives of the Danish Evangelical Church, which continues to be a key DCA constituency. Job summary

The position requires a resident person in each of the three districts, that is Beitbridge, Plumtree and Mangwe wherein the incumbent shall be the focal person in the district coordinating with partners and stakeholders ensuring the successful implementation of the ECHO funded project called “ENHANCING COVID-19 VACCINATION INTERVENTIONS AND AWARENESS BUILDING PROJECT”. This position entails working closely and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) and other stakeholders towards the delivery of the objectives of this project. The incumbent is expected to work and liaise with ministry of health officials, Volunteer Health Promoters, the traditional and religious leaders and any other opinion leaders within the district.

Roles and responsibilities

These shall include but are not limited to: Attending district level COVID 19 meetings and platforms representing DCA; Liaise and engaging with stakeholders i.e District Development Coordinators, Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) officials, other government ministries and departments, NGOs, private sector players and any other interested parties to this project; Generate weekly, monthly and situational updates and submit to the Project Coordinator; Work closely with Volunteer Health Promoters guided by the MoHCC protocols ensuring that they deliver expected outputs.

Qualifications

At least Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or related field; Must have not less than 1 year experience working within communities leading community engagements and mobilization processes; Must be able to work as a team member in team settings, function in a culturally diverse work environment; Must be able to plan own work and be a self-starter; Must be able to work with minimum supervision; Must have the ability to work and collaborate with various stakeholders including Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) etc.
