Yvonne Chaka Chaka Wishes Her Son A Happy Birthday
Giyani Land Of Blood actress and singer; Yvonne Chakachaka wishes her son a happy birthday!
Perhaps it’s time the old African tradition of arranged marriages made a comeback, when parents chose who and when their children should wed. This would definitely please internationally acclaimed South African singer and actress Yvonne Chaka-Chaka. Yesterday saw the singer, who is affectionately known as the Princess of Africa, taking to social media to wishing her third-born son, Mfuma Mhinga a happy birthday. However, the good wishes came with a rather odd request at the end as the award-winning singer jokingly added that her son brings home a bride!
The mother of four boys posted a video of the young Mhinga living the soft life sky diving and captioned a beautiful message.
Yvonne Chakachaka: “ On this day 10 th Feb God blessed me with this Black Black Boy. I am grateful to call you my son. You love life you live the life and you are just you. Happy birthday . Now you must find a wife. I Love You @shilungwa_mhinga.”
Celebrities including radio and tv hosts Penny Lebyane and Noleen Maholwana-Sangqu, television actress Enhle Mbali as well as other social media users joined in to wish the young bachelor a happy birthday.

Yvonne is the first black tv child presenter in South Africa who went on to win our hearts with hits such as Umqombothi and Thank you, Mr. DJ. It was rumored that there was bad blood between her and the late legendary singer Brenda Fassie, Yvonne has since squashed these claims as cheap industry gossip. Last year she made headlines when she was apparently deported to Kampala Uganda where she was due to perform. Again she denied these rumors claiming she left of her own accord, regardless of tweets claiming she was escorted by police authorities. The actress made her television debut in 1997 on Muvhango in its first season, as a feisty lawyer in the estate battle of Mashudu Mukwevho who dies in the first episode.
She made a huge come back in 2019 on SABC 2’s telenovela Giyani Land of Blood produced by Emmy nominated Tshedza Productions. The SABC has confirmed that the series would be returning to our screens sharing the 9 pm slot with Muvhango, but it remains to be seen whether Chaka-Chaka will be part of the cast and reprise her role as Gladys Mudau.
