The Embassy Of The Republic Of Sudan Job Opportunities
The Embassy of the Republic of Sudan is looking for a Senior Driver to join the Mission on a permanent basis effective 2 January 2023. As an official Embassy driver, the Senior Driver is expected to provide transportation services in a timely and safe manner to H.E. The Ambassador.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transportation of Embassy staff in a safe and professional manner, ensuring the vehicle is compliant.
- Planning routes to venues.
- Provide support during in-country and regional trips, including planning routes, and arranging visits.
- Ensuring the vehicle is properly equipped at all times.
- When not driving, support the Embassy Team with e.g logistic arrangements ahead of official visits and support with preparations for Embassy events; and other tasks when required;
- Looking after Embassy vehicles – manage all the required supplies for the vehicles, car maintenance and its regular service (incl. maintenance of log books and fuel supplies).
- Essential qualifications, skills and experience
- Minimum of ten years of driving experience (clean license);
- Have a valid defensive driver’s license;
- Valid national passport;
- Basic level of English, both oral and written;
- Self-starter, quick learner, team player;
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing circumstances;
- Good communication skills.
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
- Experience in driving around Harare and knowledge of regional driving routes.
- Previous driving experience in Diplomatic Missions or International organisations is highly desirable.
- Valid Police Clearance
- Full Medical report
- Desirable age range – 45 – 50 years
