Key Responsibilities:

As a Regulatory Communications and Screening Officer at CBZ Holdings, your primary responsibilities include:

  1. Timely External Communication: Ensure that all external communication with regulatory bodies, including FIU, ZIMRA, NSSA, and others, is executed promptly.
  2. Clarification of Communication: Facilitate clear communication between regulatory bodies (FIU, ZIMRA, NSSA) and all Business Units within the organization.
  3. Screening of Names: Perform screening of names of new customers, suppliers, and third parties using the World Check One system.
  4. Interpretation of Screening Results: Interpret the results of the screening process and communicate them to all Business Units.
  5. User Roles Creation: Create user roles for all Business Units on compliance systems.
  6. KYC Systems Monitoring: Continuously monitor the KYC systems, including Accuity Compliance Link, for positive and false hits, escalating them to Level Two Users of the System.
  7. False Positive Handling: Generate “false positive” cases for further scrutiny by Level Two Users, following the Group Sanctions Policy requirements.
  8. Transaction Analysis: Analyze suspicious transactions reported by all Business Units.
  9. GoAML Platform: Upload all suspicious transactions on the GoAML platform.
  10. Internal Coordination: Set up and coordinate internal meetings for the Compliance Function.
  11. Orientation and Team Building: Provide office orientation for new employees and coordinate team-building activities within the Compliance Unit.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be considered for the Regulatory Communications and Screening Officer role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, management, accounting, or a related commerce degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance department, risk department, audit department, retail banking, or a Banking Supervision & Surveillance Function.
  • High-level interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with employees, managers, company executives, and regulators.
  • Strong time management skills.
