Makhadzi Loses Rhythm City Role After Pulling No Show
Hot and happening singer, Makhadzi has lost out a TV gig on Rhythm City.
Makhadzi was billed to make an appearance on eTV soapie, Rhythm City and she was due for shooting but she didn’t show up.
According to sources, Makhadzi failed to pitch up at the shooting on Wednesday morning and the producers of the show had to come up with an alternative plan.
They booked her to perform today on set, as is the norm for the show. But she didn’t pitch, which meant the producers had to scramble to find a replacement,” said the source.
The insider went on to reveal that Makhadzi had already been paid upfront
She was already paid a deposit, which secured her performance on the show and she was also going to be in a scene. Producers had to find another artist to replace her at the last minute.
The reason why she pulled a no show, was chalked up to the issues she is reportedly having with her record label. The singer seems to he caught in a conflict of interest with her label and it might have resulted in her ditching some commitments.
Makhadzi’s role was supposed to be that of a singer performing at the popular Kilowatt club.
This was not going to be the first time that Makhadzi would feature on a soapie.
In December’s Makhadzi featured in the soapie Muvhango where she gave a great performance and Rhythm City was supposed to be her second gig.
Looks like Rhythm City fans will have to deal with some disappointment.
