We are pleased to announce a new volunteer opportunity through a partnership between Green Vision Trust a leading Antipoaching Training Unit in Zimbabwe with Conservancies & Safaris.
This program, which will be in the form of camping in the wild, is open to anyone above 18 years old who is passionate about wildlife and tourism.
Our volunteer programme is tailored for those who look forward to entering into either tourism or wildlife fields. We have mentorship and on-the-job training.
After the program, selected ecologists, Tour Guides, recruits and foresters will have the opportunity to join patrols, assist with security, boost the team size and share their wildlife passion through antipoaching crusades.
Above all, we will link our volunteers to various Safaris and estates in Zimbabwe for the hands-on experience to earn experience.

If you are not employed,a recent Graduate or a student looking forward to working in the tourism and wildlife industry, this is something which can boost your CV as we are a recognized Tourism & Anti-Poaching institution.
SCHEDULED FOR : 27 June 2024 at Charama Conservancy
During this Voluntary Program, our main emphasis will be on:
*BASIC BUSH AWARENESS,
*FLORA & FAUNA
*ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES,
*HUMAN AND WILDLIFE CONFLICTS,
*CLIENTELE ETIQUETTE ,
*BASIC TOURISM AND CONSERVATION,
*TRACKING,
*GUIDING ,
*HUNTING ,
*FARM MANAGEMENT
*BUSH CAMPING
*Weapon Handling
THIS PROGRAM IS WALKING INTENSIVE AND PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PREPARED TO WALK MEDIUM TO LONG DISTANCES PER DAY TO THOSE IN NATURAL SCIENCES UNLIKE THOSE FOR TOURISM WHO WILL BE MORE FOCUSED ON THEIR HOUSEKEEPING, FRONT OFFICE, BAR, KITCHEN, CATERING & STORE MANAGEMENT AT OUR LODGES IN CHARAMA CONSERVANCY.
In summary, the programme is 20% theory and 80% practical, so most of the time will be spent in the field, gaining hands-on experience.
Trainees will cover wildlife identification, animal behaviour and big game tracking skills, plus anti-poaching techniques. You’ll also learn the background behind the poaching industry and illegal wildlife trade. Study ecological relationships, wildlife law and bush survival skills.
Get a direct encounter with the animals and get experience with wild animals’ behavior
REQUIREMENTS:
°18 years and above
°Physically fit
°Good eyesight
°Looking forward to be a Ranger (must be physically fit)
°NO QUALIFICATION needed)
Tourism & Hospitality Section
°Certificate, diploma or a degree in Tourism, food preparation or Travel & Recreation or those studying towards these programs.
°Fluent in English Language
°Able to work night shifts
