Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Water Resources Management, Environmental Sciences, Natural Sciences, Earth Sciences, or related fields.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in program and/or project implementation within the field of natural sciences or related fields.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Office, etc.).
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as in a multicultural team environment with respect for diversity.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Extensive knowledge and advanced technical writing skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

Languages:

  • Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).

Desirable Qualifications:

Work Experience:

  • Experience at an international level within the United Nations system or intergovernmental organizations.

Education:

  • Training or courses in project management and/or monitoring and evaluation.
