Consultancy to conduct a Study on Exploring Factors that contribute to high HIV incidence amongst Adolescent Girls and Young Women in Zimbabwe, Harare, Zimbabwe(UN WOMEN)

Education

  •  Advanced degree in public health, social sciences, human rights, gender/women’s studies, international development, or another related field.

Experience

  •  At least 10 years relevant experienced in relation to conducting research in the HIV and health sector, gender assessments and understanding of gender equality and women’s sexual reproductive health issues.
  •  Have extensive experience in undertaking research focusing on the HIV and gender equality.
  •  Extensive Knowledge of Zimbabwe’s health sector
  •  Experience working with people living with HIV.
  •  Proven experience and excellent networking and partnership skills with UN agencies, government and CSOs.
  •  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and strong presentation skills
  •  Cultural sensitivity

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Graphic design or related field.

    A diploma in a relevant field with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a University Degree.

    Minimum Requirements

    •  National of Zimbabwe.
    •  Advanced university degree in risk or emergency management, social/political science, military science, public administration, law enforcement, law or a related area.

    Education:

    Masters degree in Social Sciences, Social Policy or Public Policy, Economics

    Experience:

    Minimum 10 years experience in Social Protection. Working experience of working on similar assignments, in the region / globally.

    Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

    •  Have prior experience in similar assignments. Greater weight will be given to a consultant with demonstrated experience in designing GRM systems in the region.
    •  Demonstrated expertise and capability in upstream and downstream communication, with experience in liaising at the highest level of government and the Unite Nations Country Team (UNCT);
    •  Experience and knowledge of Cash Transfer programming and designing GRM systems globally.
    •  Demonstrated expertise and capability in upstream and downstream communication, with experience in liaising at the highest level of government and the UNCT;
    •  Understanding of Zimbabwe’s development context in the post-COVID-19 pandemic and decades of economic challenges will be an advantage.
