3. Driver and Enumerators Database

Action Against Hunger is looking to create a database for Drivers & Enumerators – Interested candidates or entities can apply as
given below

a) ENUMERATORS
Position Summary:
 Reporting to the Monitoring Evaluation Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Assistant with a working relationship with Project
Leads.
 Ensuring that the data collected for use in projects and for informing decision-making is of high quality.
 The role is to be occupied by a young person/ recent graduate (below the age of 35) from the community in which Action
Contre la Faim (ACF) will be operating.
 The data collector will be in the ACF database for a maximum period of two years.

Responsibility
 Understanding Action Contre la Faim Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) data collection processes.
 Collecting data from project participants in line with the agreed ACF sampling methodologies.
 Participate in data collection training to ensure that the data gathered for a MEAL activity is accurate, valid, and ethical and protects
the organization’s reputation in communities.
 Ensuring data completeness by making sure that no data is missing and no responses are incomplete, uncollected, or unusable.
 Ensuring data integrity through making sure that the data is correct and free of mistakes caused by either human error or
technology fault.
 Ensuring privacy when gathering data, especially sensitive or individually identifying information.
 Timely submission of the data collected into the data entry database.
 Ensuring respectful and careful use of the data collection devices to avoid damage to the device.
 Making sure the data collection device is only utilized for the project’s data collection and that no further applications are
added to the tablet or device beyond those that are already loaded on it.
 Ensuring data accuracy by gathering information based on the predetermined characteristics such as sex, age, and disability
status.

Qualifications
 A minimum of a certificate/diploma in social sciences or related discipline from a recognized institution of learning with
relevant experience.
 A degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies or other relevant discipline is an added advantage.
 Ability to speak English and the local language relevant to the district of operations.
Competences:
 Ability to use appropriate software for collecting digital data.
 Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel.
 Excellent attention to detail.
 Self-driven and with ability to work with diverse team.
 Manage quantitative and qualitative data collection
 Able to work with minimum supervision.

B) DRIVERS
Duties
 Management of the vehicle(s)
 Transport Management
 Communication – To communicate every car movement before leaving and the precise destination and the staff on board( This
is strictly a driver’s duty as he is responsible of his vehicle, his passengers and their equipment)
 Security
– To know and apply the rules of ACF vehicle policy (deadlines, speed limits, passenger transportation, seat belt fastened….)
– To adapt his speed to the road statement and load carried
– To report orally or by written if requested to all kind of incidents or observations during the movement related to
passengers, authorities, with the beneficiaries, the ACF staff or ACF belongings.
– To collaborate on all security on issues with the Logistics Head of Department, reporting any observation, feeling or fear
encountered at any time
– To park the car in departure position and on safe place and put the keys in the place where they are kept
– To ensure the Safety of goods, passengers during all movement or parking period
– To be alert of any compromise in security in a location

To ensure the maintenance of ACF vehicle and equipment
 Specific Reporting
– To report to the Logistics Head of Department any mechanical problem
– To report to the Logistics Head of Department when the vehicle is reaching service
– To report the mileage and fuel intake figures to the Logistics Head of Department every last day of the month
 To help in other duties like purchases and quotation sourcing
 Other clerical support to the programs

Qualifications and experience
 O level certificate with English language
 Class 2/4 driver’s license and a defensive driving certificate
 First Aid training an added advantage
 Experience in Non-Governmental Organizations work
 highly professional and presentable
 Any professional certificate in admin/logs an added advantage
