Qualifications and Experience
- The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy;
- A Master’s degree or Business related degree;
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Certified Accountant (CCA) or a Registered Public Accountant with at least ten (10) years of accounting experience directly related to the duties and preferably in a University;
- A PhD qualification in that field will be an added advantage;
- Five (5) years of the experience should have been in a senior management position
• Knowledge of computerised accounting systems/packages is a must.
Skills and Attributes
- Overall, the Bursar must demonstrate orderliness, efficiency, reliability of stewardship, excellent ICT skills, possess a calm manner, excellent skills in budget preparation, fiscal management, be able to write technical reports, foster a co-operative working environment and ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
