SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Reports to the Deputy Associate Director; Support Services. Qualifications and Experience
The position requires an individual with: -
A Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration/Management/Transport/Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or
equivalent.
At least five (5) years post-qualification relevant experience at Senior Management level.
A relevant Masters’ degree in the area would be an added advantage.

A critical thinker.
Duties and Responsibilities
These shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
Managing the University’s transport system.
Overseeing the scheduling and time tabling of the University’s bus fleet.
Design maintenance systems to ensure the serviceability of the University’s transport
fleet.
Book in deliveries and liaising with customers.
Allocate and record resources and movements on the transport planning system.
Ensure that all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to
ensure smooth operations.
Facilitate effective communication with Faculties/Departments and respond to their
transport requirements.
Booking sub-contractors and ensuring that they deliver services to the University within
the agreed terms.
Direct all transportation activities.
Develop transportation relationships within the University and with external stakeholders.
