The University seeks to recruit applicants with requisite qualifications, skills and experience for the
following Technical posts that have arisen: -
Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
POST A
Applicants should have a relevant Bachelor of Science/Engineering/Technology degree or
equivalent and one (1) year post- qualification experience; or a Higher National Diploma in
Mechanical or Diesel Plant Engineering and at least three (3) years post- qualification experience.
The successful applicant will be expected to maintain and service departmental equipment for
machining, processes, thermal, fluid and compressed air systems for teaching and research
activities. He/she will also be required to actively participate in the design and development of
experimental test rigs; and to assist students in carrying out experiments and projects. In addition,
the incumbent will be expected to assist academic staff with their research projects. He/she must
demonstrate commitment to self-advancement within the academic and research environment of
the University.
POST B
Applicants should have a relevant Bachelor of Science/Engineering/Technology degree or
equivalent and one (1) year post- qualification experience; or a Higher National Diploma in
Instrumentation & Control Engineering/Electronic Engineering and at least three (3) years postqualification experience.
The successful applicant will be expected to maintain and service departmental equipment in
instrumentation and control systems for teaching and research activities. He/she will also be
required to actively participate in the design and development of experimental test rigs; and to
assist students in carrying out experiments and projects. In addition, the incumbent will be
expected to assist academic staff with their research projects. He/she must demonstrate
commitment to self-advancement within the academic and research environment of the University.
