The University of Zimbabwe is inviting applications for the following vacant posts:
1. DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE AND REAL ESTATE
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
Applicants must possess the following:
a. A National Diploma in Civil Engineering/Architecture or equivalent.
b. Five “O” level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
c. Extensive knowledge and skills in computers and modelling, installing and
troubleshooting of computer hardware and software, and database design.
d. Capacity to organize field trips and run laboratory sessions.
e. Experience in a teaching environment would be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates would be responsible for:
a. Overall running of the Civil Engineering laboratories.
b. Ordering of equipment and consumables.
c. In-house training of junior technical staff.
d. Computation of inventory reports.
e. Servicing and repairing of laboratory equipment.
f. Conducting technical and junior staff performance appraisals.
