Applicants are invited to fill in the vacant position of Systems Specialist that has arisen in our General Insurance Division:

Reporting to: The Business Systems Support Manager

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Systems Architecture design
• Systems deployment in liaison with senior systems administrators
• Execute and maintain replication of critical business systems to DR site
• Oversee IO performance of production systems at the storage subsystem level
• Collaborate with other systems administrators to ensure optimum storage usage for capacity and performance
• Assist in audit and compliance management to ensure there are no breaches to policies in the organization
• Infrastructure needs analysis, design, and deployment in liaison with system vendors and network engineers
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Group Chief Digital Officer

Key qualifications, experience & competencies

• At least one-year working experience in a learning environment
• Experience in working with networked computing systems/ windows TCP/ IT networking experience
• Knowledge and competence in Microsoft and Linux operating systems and Office suite
• BSc Hons Information Systems, Informatics, Business Studies and Computer Technology, Computer Science, Physics, or any related degree
• Strong morale standing
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in spoken English
• Customer-centric, motivated with the ability to take proactive steps in resolving queries
• Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work hands-on, independently and within a dynamic environment
