Reporting to the Systems Development Manager, the successful candidate will study the organization’s current computer systems and procedures, design and develop information systems solutions that operate more efficiently and effectively. Key Outputs • Analyse current systems to determine gaps and provide recommendations for possible improvement. • Convert user requirements into system design documents that can be used by developers. • Supervise system and web developers and ensure developed systems meet the Authority’s quality standards • Development and documentation of software and program specifications • Ensure deadlines and budget requirements are met. • Document interfaces between internal and external systems • Stay up to date with current technologies and technical developments • Develop programming and coding standards. • Maintains computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures • Research, evaluate and recommend solutions and appropriate technology to meet user’s needs. • Conduct training sessions and workshops on system processes and providing support Qualifying Requirements • Bachelor of Computer science or information systems • 5 years’ experience in software development or systems analysis Key Competencies and Characteristics • Strong knowledge of programming language and databases. • Knowledge of SQL and C# is an added advantage • Strong Analytical skills • Good communication skills
