About the Organization FAWEZI is a Non-Governmental Organization established in 1998 and registered as a PVO in 1999. It is an affiliate of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), a Pan-African Non-Governmental Organization based in Nairobi Kenya. FAWEZI works with communities, schools, civil society, NGOS and ministries to achieve gender equity and equality in education through targeted programs. Our work influences government policy, builds public awareness, demonstrates best educational practice through effective models, and encourages the adoption of these models by governments and institutions of education. Summary of duties and responsibilities The intern will directly assist the Programs Officer with a wide range of programme activities related to day to day support to project implementation and ensuring conformity to expected results, outputs, objectives and work plan; compilation of monthly progress report and other reporting material; Organizing and conducting meetings with line ministries and other relevant stakeholders; assist Programmes Officer in project implementation and monitoring, including participation in fields visits; the candidate will also have opportunities to engage directly and learn from the Organization’s staff and any other duties assigned Minimum qualification and experience Must be studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work; written and verbal communication skills; team player; must be a self-starter and innovative.
