Main Duties/Responsibilities Develop strategies to support the Selfcare brands (Upper Respiratory, Smoking Cessation & Pain) in key markets Leads annual brand planning process, working closely with the in-market teams to deliver sound annual plans that clearly map out, growth opportunities/objectives and the plans required to deliver against these objectives Develop, plan, implement and evaluate marketing activities/advertising / promotional plans Plan NPD pipelines and implement new product launches Build a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape per market and the performance levers within each market. Build insights that inform consumer-relevant / market appropriate mix development Implementation of marketing mixes that are consistent with overall strategies Work with Regulatory to understand criteria and regulations per market and to facilitate the relevant registrations across markets Ongoing measurement and evaluation of broad strategies and activity plans with strategies evaluated over time and adjusted as necessary Manage budgets and return on investment Participate in the financial planning process and takes accountability for financial and P&L performance of key brands/markets Qualifications Qualifications / Experience / Requirements: Matric plus a relevant marketing or business degree (please provide matric/university mark transcripts on application) 5+ years of brand management with a proven track record in strategy and mix development and implementation in the Selfcare / OTC industry Competencies Insight development, Brand positioning, brand idea and communication strategy, Marketing research and consumer planning, Trend foresight, competitive and external environment, Communication channels, Brand and business planning, Brand profitability, Product and packaging development, Pricing, Trade channels, Portfolio management, Project management, Forecasting Key Attributes Has strong numerical analytical skills with the ability to apply to both commercial & marketing opportunities Able to think strategically Ability to take initiative and to be proactive (self-starter) Ability to manage complexity High levels of drive to succeed and make things happen Ability to collaborate and build productive working relationships Tenacity to see things through and to deliver the long-term vision Leadership ability and potential (role will grow as SSA business grows) Johnson & Johnson and all its operating companies are committed to workplace diversity and to cultivating, fostering and preserving a culture of inclusion.
