Position summary

The position is responsible for orienting and supervising a team of 2 Research Assistants and 14 Peer Educators, to ensure that during the research, quality interviews and accurate data collection duties are performed by the team in accordance to MSF protocols and guidelines.


Position responsibilities

Accountable for overall research objectives, as decided by the Research Coordinator; Supervision of Data collectors & encoding of data; Ensure adherence to study procedures; Team representative to the local population and authorities in the research areas; Implementation of the quotas and randomization model; Ability to work and effectively communicate with different target audiences; Ability to work independently, and showing initiative to address challenges; Ability to represent MSF professionally in line with MSF values and behavioral commitments; Ability to effectively work in a diverse multicultural team and multi-tasking, with humanitarian agility


Qualifications

Degree in a Social Science or related field; Computer literacy including Microsoft Excel; Good oral and written English language and any local language. Please state the two languages in your application; Highly flexible; ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and meet deadlines; Motivation to work in an international/inter-cultural context & humanitarian team spirit; At least two years’ supervisory experience with interview-based research; Previous experience working with youth and Adolescents will be an asset, especially in research; Experience in International Humanitarian Aid organisation an added advantage
