Job Summary
-Looks at material prices, labor costs and other expenses like equipment rental, permits and building fees to build a project plan and budget -Estimate costs by looking at the entire project as a whole or estimate the cost of different parts of the building and then add all the parts together. - Use cost estimations and budget to submit proposals and bids to potential clients. ---The quantity surveyor takes on a project manager role to help oversee bidding processes .Duties And Responsibilities
-Producing a bill of quantities, which lists all the physical items and labor hours needed for a construction project. -Helps the contractor choose material suppliers and subcontractors based on the bill of quantities. - Managing projects, keeping daily logs of costs and progress reports to assure that everything stays on budget and sticks to the timeline.Qualifications And Experience
Skills -attention to detail -excellent written and oral communication skills -negotiating skills -team work -ability to multi-task and take on numerous projects at once -self-motivated -able to meet targets Qualifications NC/Diploma/Degree in engineering/surveying/construction and at least 3 years working experience in the construction industryTo apply
