About
Established in 2019, Fathers Against Abuse Trust (FAA) is an organisation that seeks to address the problem of gender-based violence through male engagement. FAA seeks to raise a generation of men and boys that are responsible and treat other people, particularly women, with respect and dignity. Men are engaged as catalysts for change and as partners with women and girls in securing a Zimbabwe that is free from Gender-based violence. FAA is motivated by the need to see a healthy nation where men, women, boys’ and girls live lives that enable them to realise their potential unhindered by gender-based violence. In line with its expansion strategy, FAA seeks to engage a Project Volunteer.
The incumbent will report to the Team Leader and is responsible for FAA projects being implemented effectively.
Key responsibilities
Organising workshops and mobilising workshop participants; Writing activity reports; Providing counselling to men and women survivors of GBV; Preparing cash requisitions and liquidations; Participating in fundraising activities.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have a Degree in Social Sciences (Sociology, Psychology, Social work, Counselling or other related qualifications; Proficiency in computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft office; At least 2 years post qualification experience and a strong passion for addressing gender-based violence.
