Save the Children International PVO 03/2002 is the world’s leading independent organization for children. Our mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. We employ approximately 25,000 people across the globe and work on the ground in over 100 countries to help children affected by crises, or those that need better healthcare, education and child protection. We also campaign and advocate at the highest levels to realise the right of children and to ensure their voices are heard. We are working towards three breakthroughs in how the world treats children by 2030: No child dies from preventable causes before their 5th birthday; All children learn from a quality basic education and that, Violence against children is no longer tolerated.

Position summary

The Project Manager (Education) will be responsible for providing program leadership on all Education Programs for Save the Children. He/She will also provide leadership and guidance to the SC project team. S/he will spearhead in bringing innovations and draw up learning from the proven education related initiatives and assist in further scaling up into programs to meet the strategic objectives of SC in Zimbabwe. The Project Manager will be responsible to expand and strengthen working relations with the international communities and embassies that are committed to supporting educational improvement in Zimbabwe. He/She will be engaged in quality assurance, including timely report submission of the overall education programme and secure necessary strategic cooperation with multi and bilateral donors and key embassies who are interested in education programs in Zimbabwe.
