About the Organization The National Association of Freelance Journalists (NAFJ) is a professional network of over 260 freelance journalists from all parts of Zimbabwe. NAFJ aims to address the professional and welfare concerns of its members. It addresses its vision of a democratic society through its mission of creatively utilizing the media to provide a balanced viewpoint as well as enhancing media pluralism and press freedom. NAFJ is registered as a Trust (MA1223/2019). It is headquartered in Harare. About The Position We are inviting applications from suitably qualified, part-time, UNPAID, volunteers to fill in the following position of Programmes Officer: Dialogue within our Secretariat and reporting directly to the Secretary-General. You will have flexible working conditions where you can work from anywhere in Zimbabwe as long as you work within set action plans and timelines. However, the Administration Officer has to be Harare based and works full time from our Milton Park offices. The position would suit unemployed students studying evening or block courses or recent graduates. NAFJ will cater for transport and lunch. Subject to the availability of funding, we hope to compensate for these positions in the near future. We are looking for resourceful, creative, self-driven minds with the capacity to unlock and harness possibilities, value, and opportunities for the organisation. We welcome applicants from a wide range of professions and experience. Job description You will be responsible for organizing regular discussions, dialogues and debates.
