Eligibility criteria
Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.
Description of task
Under the direct supervision of Team Leader Governance and Peace Building Unit the national UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
Administrative support to the programme unit:
Providing support in the, financial, procurement, logistical and administration tasks for the PSP, OAG and SI;
Maintenance of the internal expenditures control system including timely corrective actions on unposted vouchers, including the vouchers with budget check errors, match exceptions, and approved vouchers
Development of terminal checklist for the PSP, OAG and SI Projects M&E and uploading in DMS together with supporting documentation for the Spotlight and PSP project;
Updating and undertaking physical inspections of PSP, OAG and SI project assets and records;
Support HACT, NIM/NGO Audits, EU Verifications and evaluations.
Support to management of the country programme:
Scan and e-archive outstanding PSP, OAG and SI project payments documentation for the period mainly the Spotlight and Parliament Project documents;
Provide PSP, OAG and SI support to programme financial data entry when requested;
Tags business management ethics peacebuilding procurement programme management project management public administration resource mobilization social sciences
Retrieving and building up supporting documentation and scanning to e-archiving outstanding PSP, OAG and SI project related APJV entries as provided by Finance;
Reviewing project management documentation in DMS and uploading of missing project management documentation in DMS;
Processing of PSP and Spotlight project payment requests in Atlas;
Support data/evidence gathering for audit queries/enquiries and post-audit follow-up actions.
Support to resource mobilization
Assist to update unit databases for donors and status of donor funded project balances and agreements including scanning and uploading agreements;
Assist in clearing of outstanding cost sharing balances per agreement provisions for closing projects and collecting data to address discrepancies and deficits;
Uploading donor reports for closed and current projects for the period from 2005 to date.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent
Education - Additional Comments: University Degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Governance, Social Sciences or any related field;
Required experience: 24 Months
Experience remark: At least 2 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in business administration, governance, social sciences or related areas; or other relevant programmes. Experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset
Language skills:
English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
Shona(Mandatory), Level - Working Knowledge
Sindebele(Mandatory), Level - Working Knowledge
