Duties and responsibilities:
• Ordering of hardware, general consumables and materials.
• Assist in vendor sourcing, selection and registration.
• Assist in the set up and maintenance of a database of supplier contacts.
• Planning of orders and delivery schedules.
• Opening and Management of supplier accounts.
• Arrangement of Supplier Trade Agreements
• Ensure goods ordered reach destination
• Controlling transactional and distribution costs
• Monitor and report quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs
• Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers
• Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process
• Assist SBUs stay within approved budgets
• Assist SBUs in controlling costs though competitive procurement
