UNIVERSITY OF ZIMBABWE Applications from suitably qualified members are invited to fill the following posts: SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT MANAGER: OUTDOOR AND SPORTING FACILITIES Reports to the Deputy Associate Director; Support Services. Duties and Responsibilities These shall include, but are not limited to, the following: ? Management of the Universityâs indoor and outdoor sporting facilities. ? Hiring of the Universityâs outdoor and sporting facilities. ? Development of models for maintenance of outdoor and sporting facilities. ? Development of models and systems for usage of outdoor and sporting facilities. ? Management of contracts with vendors and customers. ? Development of plans, budgets and reports for the Section.
Work/Educational Requirements
The position requires an individual with: - ? A Higher National Diploma or degree in Business Management/Physical Education/Sport and Exercise Sciences or equivalent. ? A relevant Mastersâ degree would be an added advantage. ? Membership of an acceptable Professional Institution. ? Licensed by the Zimbabwe Institute of Quantity Surveyors. ? At least five (5) years relevant experience at Management level. Desired Attributes The position requires a person who possesses the following attributes: ? Proficiency in computer skills. ? Good coordination skills. ? Ability to work well in a team. ? Can stay calm under pressure and still make good decisions. ? Pays attention to detail. ? A multi tasker. ? A critical thinker.
