Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in managing various operational aspects within the transport sector. Key responsibilities include:
- Account Management:
- Oversight of debtors and creditors management.
- Optimizing Truck Flow:
- Identifying strategies to enhance truck flow within the depot and on the routes.
- Truck Maintenance:
- Implementing new strategies for maintaining and repairing trucks, with a focus on performance and fuel consumption improvement.
- Tyre Management:
- Efficient management of truck tires.
- Driver Management:
- Ensuring the effective management of drivers.
- Logistics Documentation:
- Handling import and export documentation.
- Fuel Management:
- Managing fuel resources.
- Budget Oversight:
- Monitoring and controlling budgets.
- Reporting:
- Compiling and generating reports on operational activities.
- Health and Safety:
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Security Management:
- Overseeing security within the depot and for all vehicles, including buildings.

Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Extensive Experience: More than 10 years of experience in managing fleets of over 200 trucks.
- Cross-Border Expertise: Experience in cross-border transport is a fundamental requirement.
- Logistics Qualifications: Possession of logistics-related qualifications would be advantageous.
- Willingness to Relocate: A strong willingness to relocate to Zimbabwe.
- Work Permit or Residency: Possession of a Zimbabwe work permit or residency status is a beneficial asset.
