Background
The purpose of this study is to identify three to four key determinant behaviours that most affect key nutritional outcomes and design context-specific SBCC materials, acknowledging that the root causes of malnutrition and barriers to positive behaviours may be multifarious. Based on the results of the study, a context-specific social and behaviour change communication strategy will be developed, to include the key triggers and communication methods that will be used to influence behaviours. The communication methods should include as a minimum, a) trucks that will display visual material (to be developed by local artists) and be accompanied by impactful verbal messages and b) content for SMS text messages to resonate with the target audience and key influencers to support positive behaviour change. In addition to these modes of communication, the strategy should also outline other core messages and modes of dissemination that the consultant believes would connect with intended recipients.

Purpose of the consultancy
Identify effective social and behaviour change messages, materials and activities to address the target groups (women of reproductive age and children 0-5years) and influencing audiences. In preparation for the study, a baseline assessment including a KAPB report conducted in November 2020 among the targeted population will be available and should be considered in the preparation of the proposed study.
